James Holland: Alright, Al—September 1944, and here’s a story you don’t hear every day. We all know about Operation Market Garden—the massive airborne drop to seize the bridges over the Rhine. But what about the blokes who weren’t just there to fight, but to fix everything under fire? Enter the REME—the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers—parachuting into Arnhem with their toolkits alongside the Paras, ready to keep the fight going.

Al Murray: Yeah, and just imagine it—jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft, landing in the middle of one of the most ferocious battles of the war, and instead of just grabbing a rifle, you’re straight under a Jeep, dodging mortars while you change a wheel. Absolute unsung heroes, mate. They were keeping tanks, guns, and vehicles running under impossible conditions, all while the battle raged around them. And that’s exactly what this T-shirt captures—spanners raining down from the sky, a desperate hand reaching for one, and a properly iconic Airborne Jeep in the thick of it.

James Holland: And let’s not forget, Arnhem was brutal—far tougher than expected. The REME lads were working miracles, fixing everything they could with limited supplies, knowing full well that if they couldn't keep the vehicles moving, the whole mission could fall apart. This design is a tribute to their incredible skill, courage, and sheer determination to keep the fight going against the odds.

A Bit About the T-Shirt (And Why You Should Check Your Size!)

Al Murray: Now, let’s talk about the T-shirt itself—this isn’t some cheap knockoff; it’s print-on-demand, which means no wasted stock sitting in a warehouse somewhere gathering dust. Instead, every shirt is printed just for you, which is a win for both history lovers and the planet.

James Holland: Absolutely. But, and this is important—check your size before you order. We don’t want loads of returns bouncing around, adding to unnecessary emissions. Pick the right fit, wear it with pride, and show the world you know your history.

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
